WOW, PRAISE GOD!

Adam's Angels Ministry was truly blessed once again by the tremendous support at our 3rd Adam's Angels 5K DASH held on Saturday, October 1, 2011.   It was the perfect morning for a run/walk!  We had just under 200 people participate in the event and raised approximately $12,000 including sponsorships, registration fees, raffle tickets, donations, bake sale, and lemonade stand.  All monies raised at the event will be used to assist families battling childhood cancer.

The event opened with our angel, hero, and warrior families making a very "touching" walk down the sidewalk over the bridge and through a tunnel formed by BHS football players, cheerleaders, and Belles to the tune of "Chariots of Fire". Approximately eight childhood cancer patients and families whom AAM has been assisting were represented at the event The 5K continued with eager runners and those who just came out for a casual run or walk to support the cause. Local childhood cancer patient,  Jabrion Williams was our cancer patient to ever complete the entire 5K by walking alongside  AAM Board President, Jack Ancone. Way to go Jabrion! Elizabeth Chapdelaine, cancer patient from Burton, completed the DASH as well by being pushed in her wheelchair.

Post-activities followed the event with Blue Bell ice cream and lemonade.  The lovely and talented Tena Rae and her guitarist, Tony Meeks, with their sound man, Michael Brinkmeyer provided music for event goers.  The sky was a beautiful clear blue and provided a gorgeous backdrop to an emotional balloon release to the song "Pretty Balloons" held in memory of those childhren who earned their "angel wings" to this devastating disease.  The event was concluded with the drawing for the raffle prizes.

We hope you had a great experience and were touched by the childhood cancer families in attendance. The support you continue to provide to our ministry does not go unnoticed.  God has blessed AAM with funds to be able to give back to those less fortunate who have to make the journey through this world with  "childhood cancer".

Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of childhood cancer families!

Praise be to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,

who comforts us in all of our troubles,

so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort

that we ourselves have received from God.
