Blinn College’s Athletic Department has chosen Adam’s Angels Ministry as their “Adopt-A-Charity” for the 2013-2014 school year.

This past spring the Buccaneer Baseball team hosted their “Turn Back the Clock” games—one in February and one in April.  Over $1,600 was raised and donated during the games. 

According to Adam’s Angels officials, Coach Harvey McIntrye and the entire Buccaneer team not only raised funds, but also gave their time, love and laughs to the childhood cancer families that AAM serves.  All the families were invited to both games.

Coach McIntyre then approached Blinn Athletetic Director, Scott Schumacher, about all Blinn sports hosting  an AAM fundraising day. 

 At Tuesday night’s Board Meeting Blinn voted unanimously to adopt Adam’s Angels as their “Adopt-A-Charity” for the upcoming school year.   See report from Banner below:

Schumacher says 75% of the gate receipts from designated athletic events would be donated as well as staging a location for cash donations.  Schumacher says there are still details to work out, but asked for the program to proceed.  The measure was approved unanimously.

Adam’s Angels founder Donna Culliver says there are not words to express how much the Ministry thanks Coach McIntyre and his team for initiating this and taking it to home plate.  She also thanked Coach Schumacher for taking this before the Board and the Board of Directors for their unanimous approval in helping make a difference in the lives of childhood cancer families.
