Independence Coffee Company Announces Entry Into the Single Serve Coffee Market and Adam's Angels Ministry 'Give-Back' Program

Brenham, August 16, 2013:  Independence Coffee Company (ICC) announced today that it will enter the single serve coffee market with its 'Indie Shot' single serve cups which are compatible with many single serve brewers  on the market today.  ICC will incorporate a newly developed technology for manufacturing these cups whose proprietary design has several consumer and manufacturing benefits which include: a flow through brewing design which allows for increased coffee flavor extraction, an increased aromatic experience and a 100% recyclable alternative to some other single serve options available on the market.

This new technology will allow ICC to continue its mission of providing the freshest coffee experience possible by employing a 'roast, grind, package and ship/deliver' process that makes it possible to actually provide 'next day roast to cup' capabilities.  "We have invested in this new technology as a result of customer inquiries and the increasing popularity of single serve products in the market today.  "It's really 'old school' roasting meets freshness technology," says ICC Co-Founder Ragan Bond.  "The launch of the 'Indie Shot' series allows us to stick to our roasting roots and commitment to quality while providing a fresh (recyclable) experience for our loyal customers as well as future customers at home or in the office."

As a part of the new product launch, ICC will be partnering with Adam’s Angels Ministry (AAM), a local non-profit organization founded by Tim and Donna Culliver, in Brenham which provides care and comfort to families facing childhood cancer through physical, emotional, financial and spiritual support.  A percentage of profits from sales of the 'Indie Shot' series will be donated to AAM.  "We partnered with Tim and Donna and AAM in 2004 when we were just getting started," says ICC Co-Founder Christi Bond.  "Tim and Donna's experience with losing their son Adam to childhood cancer and their incredible story of giving back to families  who are dealing with the effects of childhood cancer has always been near and dear to our hearts.  Our hope is that this give- back campaign will be very successful and one that ICC and AAM can carry on for a long time."
